Are you ready to plant pollinator habitat on your Iowa farmland? Women and non-binary people who own farmland in Iowa are invited to a two-part event where you will take the next steps toward planning and installing a beautiful pollinator planting on your land.
* September 28, 2022 from 9:30 am - 12 pm: Attend a virtual, informational Pollinator Planting Workshop featuring conservation planners from the Xerces Society and Pheasants Forever.
* Afternoon of September 28: Landowners will be invited to sign up for individual virtual planning sessions with our conservation professionals! Note: our conservation planners are only available to meet with participants who own farmland in Iowa.
During the workshop, participants will:
- meet resource professionals who have designed dozens of beautiful plantings;
- learn the steps you should consider, including how to prepare your ground and source seed;
- learn about existing cost share opportunities using state, federal and private funding;
- and network with other stewardship-minded women who own land in Iowa!
During individual planning sessions, landowners will work on the next steps for their own pollinator plantings, whether that be talking through the early stages of your plan or narrowing down your source of seed.
