Neurodiversity in Agriculture: Creating Spaces for Neurodivergent Farmers and Farm Workers to Thrive

Registration is closed for this event
Join WFAN on January 15th to hear from farmer panelists and discuss how we can advocate for and support neurodivergent farmers in our communities. This Learning Circle will not be recorded.

Whether it's the opportunity to work outdoors, the flexibility and novelty of new tasks each day, or the creative problem-solving required, farming can be an alluring career path for many neurodiverse folks. It’s important for neurodiverse farmers to feel seen and have support in their work. During this HOP Learning Circle, we will discuss what it means to be neurodiverse in an agricultural setting, explore what support and accommodations can look like, and give tips for thriving in the agricultural workspace as a neurodivergent person. This learning circle is specifically geared towards neurodivergent farm workers, neurotypical farm owners, and neurodivergent farm owners.

This learning circle will host a panel of farmers and experts who will lead discussions around neurodiversity in relation to farming. They will be available to answer questions during this learning circle as well. Participants are encouraged to participate in the discussion. If you're a neurotypical person joining us for this discussion, we ask that you adopt a 'visitor mindset' by agreeing to bring kindness, respect, and curiosity into this space and center the experiences of neurodivergent folks. By registering for this session, you agree to WFAN's Community Agreements (adapted from AORTA Cooperative)

Note: In order to cultivate a safe, secure space for sharing, this learning circle will not be recorded. Please only register if you plan to join us on January 15th.
