Our presenter Angela Horvath (she/her) is a PhD student in Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Iowa, where she researches vector-born disease under Prof. Kathryn Dalton. Angela’s diverse career includes roles such as Peace Corps volunteer, environmental educator with the National Park Service, health policy analyst, youth nonprofit leader, HIV grant administrator, and hospital proposal writer. Currently, she is training AI to do her laundry so that she can spend more time with Iowa ticks.
