Kara Walker is the Cooperative Engagement & Outreach Specialist with the Kansas Farmers Union. Kara works with the Homegrown Prosperity project, connecting rural Kansans and Missourians to cooperative education and development resources. She has a background in horticulture and conservation.
In this webinar, Kara will discuss what a co-op is, how they're structured, and what kind of challenges they might solve, plus a brief overview of how the Homegrown Prosperity grant can offer education and support as groups organize into a cooperative model.
