Building Your Food Forest with Dr. Silvia Abel-Caines at Garlic eScape Farm

WFAN is thrilled to partner with Dr. Silvia Abel-Caines and the Savanna Institute on this upcoming field day event! Come to learn more about what goes into developing an agroforestry system on your land, what resources are out there to support you, and see an agroforestry project in action!

Dr. Silvia Abel-Caines is a Veterinarian with a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition, so when she's not out treating livestock, she has been transforming her farm into a food forest. Silvia grows garlic, tumeric, and ginger while grazing sheep. Silvia has also been a WFAN Stewardship Ambassador, sharing her land stewardship story with others.

This event is designed to encourage organizations to consider agroforestry as a part of their land management strategies, but we welcome anyone that wants to learn more on the topics of agroforestry and silvopasture.

Tickets are free, but we do need you to RSVP by October 21st for our catering order. We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions, and you can indicate these when registering.
